Why it matters

The customer may rely on a reservation that does not exist. The failed action and the assistant’s claim must be evaluated together.

Proposed control

Gate confirmations on a validated scheduling result. When a request fails, state that the booking is not confirmed and offer the agreed retry or human-contact path.

“I couldn’t complete the booking. Your appointment is not confirmed yet. I can help you try again or contact the team.”

Retest and acceptance criteria

  1. Failure case: HTTP 503 with no booking ID produces no confirmation.
  2. Success case: a successful result includes the correct date, time and booking ID; the assistant’s message matches them.
  3. Handoff case: an unavailable transfer is reported accurately, with the agreed fallback.

Retest status: proposed acceptance criteria only. No production system was modified or retested for this illustrative sample.

What a scoped engagement includes

One defined workflow, 30 agreed scenarios with up to three runs each, human-checked evidence, prioritized findings and a closeout review. Audit: $1,500. Audit plus up to three agreed repairs and one retest cycle: $3,500 total.

Scope and access are agreed before work starts. Findings apply to the agreed cases and do not establish universal security.
